Book News

Creeker, Linda Scott DeRosier's memoir about growing up in Appalachia, has been selected as the Best Book by a Kentuckian for 2000 by ACE Magazine.  Also, Creeker was a finalist in the Appalachian Writers Association's Book of the Year Award.  The AWA's Book of the Year for 2000 is Robert Morgan's Gap Creek.

Deep Dixie by Annie Jones has been awarded the 2000 HOLT Medallion for Southern Theme, presented by the Virginia Romance Writers.  Other finalists in this category included: Falling Hard and Fast by Kylie Brant, A Cajun Dream by Cherie Claire, The Love Potion by Sandra Hill and Priceless by Mariah Stewart.
