Robert Penn Warren Centennial Prize

Shenandoah:  The Washington and Lee University Review announces The Robert Penn Warren Centennial Prize, created to celebrate the hundred year anniversary of the birth of poet, novelist, critic and editor Robert Penn Warren.  The cash prize of $500 will be awarded for the best essay on any aspect of Warren’s work.  Deadline for submission is August 15, 2005.  There is no submission fee.  The winning essay will be published in the Winter 2005 issue of Shenandoah:  The Washington and Lee University Review.

Essays, accompanied by a brief biography of the author and SASE, should be sent to:
