Southern Writers Symposium

September 19-20, 2003

Deadline: March 15, 2003
 

Proposals for papers and panels should address such topics as the following:

Regional and local-color writing
Literature of various southern subregions
The South as an American region
The American South in global perspective

These ideas are meant to be suggestive rather than exhaustive. All proposals
bearing on the concepts of region or regionalism will be welcome.

Please submit 250-word abstracts or completed papers by March 15, 2003.
