In her third guide of love and laughter for
aspiring Sweet Potato Queens, Jill Conner Browne turns her attention to
southern cooking and financial planning. The first thing to know about
southern cooking is that you cook in your largest pots and go heavy on the
fat. Some of the appetizing recipes include: chocolate gravy and
biscuits, catshit cookies, bitch bacon bread sticks, mystery mush, and pig
candy. In case dear old Dad doesn't live forever (the first plan for Sweet Potato Queens), Browne has some sound advice from her network of Queens. A good one was getting a home improvement loan for plastic surgery. Another way to save on plastic surgery is to skip the knife and have endless sex. It seems a study on active lovemaking proved it caused the subjects to age slowly and produce leaner muscles. Some highlights from the Big-Ass Cookbook not to be missed: The Twelve Steps of Getting Old and Fat; Browne discovering the Cutest Boy in the World (now her husband); and the SPQ Book Club. Jill Conner Browne is the Boss Queen of the Sweet Potato Queens of Jackson, Mississippi. She speaks across the country on all things Queenly and has a WB pilot for The Sweet Potato Queens.
